Following sell out runs of our previous show Cart Macabre at The Old Vic Tunnels (London) and Centro Niemeyer (Avilés, Spain) Living Structures are now working on a new exciting project. We would like to invite you to join us for research and development showings of Leviathan. There will be three nights of performances, followed by a Q & A session and drinks reception with the company.

An homage to Herman Melville’s novel Moby Dick, Living Structures’ Leviathan takes its audience through an adventurous journey involving spatial transformation, large installation, physical theatre and original soundscape. Investing in striking moments of the story, Living Structures approaches the telling of this tale inspired by the monochrome colours, geometric shapes and architectural functionality of Russian Constructivism.

These showings are the outcome of a 6 weeks research and development period at Trinity Buoy Wharf, in which Living Structures have worked alongside a team of long-term and new collaborators. The opportunity to work with an audience as part of our process is crucial and your feedback will help us move forward towards our official premiere in 2012. If you would like to take part in these initial showings, click here for tickets

"Thrilling, exciting, provocative, sickening, challenging, wondrous... and experience to be savoured."

About the Company

LIVING STRUCTURES is a collective of artists that create exciting visual, physical and musical performances within large-scale immersive structures.

We produce strong, stimulating experiences for our audiences creating multi media events in mind-baffling environments.
The vast objects that we construct are designed to dramatically mutate the space surrounding our shows. The transformations that our spectators experience inside and around our ‘structures’ manipulate and play with their senses, provoking strong physical and emotional sensations. This heightens and adds new dimensions to how they encounter the music, theatre, puppetry, choreography, video, sculpture and soundscapes in our shows.
