LA POCHA NOSTRA'S CONCEPTUAL LIVE ART CREDIT UNION
As a troupe, LPN finds itself at an interesting crossroads. Although we continue to seek out and receive invitations for exciting residency projects in the US and internationally, we have definitely been effected by decreased budgets and the general funding crises in the arts.
Typically, the creation of new performance material takes place on the road when multiple troupe members have convened for a performance residency but this year presenters have been able to only bring a couple performers each project. What this means is that we need to fund raise separately to make this necessary workshop period possible. The future of our next mega-performance relies on this multi-day rehearsal!
Our goal is to raise funds to implement a workshop period in which multiple members can meet, work together for a number of days and set into motion the creative process for our next touring performance.
If you have been moved by a Pocha Nostra performance in the past we would appreciate your support at any level. In exchange, as well as creating a new performance that we hope to bring to you) we have some pretty amazing goodies to offer you > original t-shirts designed by Gomez-Pena, updates from the rehearsal process and original photographic prints.

Recentemente La Pocha Nostra lançou uma campanha de ‘crowd funding’ na internet
LA POCHA NOSTRA'S CONCEPTUAL LIVE ART CREDIT UNION
Atualmente LPN encontra-se em uma encruzilhada: Geralmente criamos nossas novas performances enquanto estamos ‘on the road’, apresentando trabalhos e/ou ministrando workshops. No entanto, afetetados pela crise econômica e pelos imensos cortes financeiros no campo das artes – especialmente nos Estados Unidos e Europa – este ano nossos anfitriões não tem tido recursos suficientes para envolver mais de 2 ou 3 membros da trupe em cada projeto. Por isso estamos procurando maneiras alternativas de tornar possível um período de workshops/ residência, no qual 7 membros de LPN possam se encontrar para desenvolver uma nova mega-perfomance!
Como conhecedores e apreciadores do trabalho de La Pocha Nostra, pedimos que nos apoiem, da forma que lhe for possível. Toda e qualquer quantia que puderem oferecer será recebida com imensa gratidão e entusiamo!
Em troca, além de criarmos uma nova performance (que esperamos trazer até vocês!), também temos alguns brindes entre os quais estão camisetas únicas com design original de Gomez Peña, notícias em primeira mão do processo de ensaios, impressões fotográficas, etc.
